About Accounting Lyceum:
Accounting Lyceum is a website which aims to provide dedicated A'level and O'level accounting students with quality learning materials and resources, to assist them in achieving certification.
The site primarily presents suggested solutions to both CAPE® and CSEC® Accounting Examination past paper questions with the view of offering committed students a form of validation as they prepare for exams. While the website is designed to be used by all students, it can prove to be a powerful tool for persons engaged in self-study. Self-study, which is becoming increasingly popular among students and parents, is widely purported as a valuable method of learning. In order to benefit from the suggested solutions proffered on this site, it is imperative that students obtain access to the relevant past examination papers. Past papers can be purchased at cxc-store.com/ or students can check with local books stores or at their school libraries. Please note: CAPE® and CSEC® are both registered trade marks of the Caribbean Examinations Council. Accounting Lyceum is an independent website and is not affiliated, authorised, sponsored, or otherwise approved by the Caribbean Examinations Council.

Words of encouragement:
The key to mastering accounting is to first recognize that it is more important to understand accounting principles as opposed to rote memorizing them. Simply because if you understand clearly what you are doing and why, it becomes almost second nature and thus so familiar, that you do it very easily without having to think too much about it.
It is often said that the mistake most teachers make is assuming that all students learn the same way. Sadly the same can be said for most students. They assume that if all of the other students understood a lesson then they should have also, and would often give up on a particular topic. This is far from the truth. Everyone is different. Therefore cut yourself some slack and give yourself a fair chance by utilizing other resources. You will be pleasantly surprised to realize, that quite often clarity can be achieved simply by approaching a topic from a different perspective. Lastly, mistakes are your best teachers, therefore there is no need to fear them, rather one should strive to learn as much as possible from them! |
